Board Search allows you to quickly find tasks within your current Kanban board view using familiar keyboard shortcuts.

Accessing Board Search

Two ways to open the search:

  1. Keyboard shortcut: Press Ctrl + F (Windows) or Cmd + F (Mac)

  2. Mouse: Click the search icon in the board header

How Board Search Works

  • Searches task titles and descriptions within the current board view

  • Updates results in real-time as you type

  • Maintains focus on filtered tasks while searching

  • Searches respect current board filters

Navigation and Controls

  • Press Ctrl + F to open search

  • Type your search term

  • Use Esc to close search

  • Press Enter to focus on first matching task

  • Use J and K to move between search results

Search Features

  • Case-insensitive matching

  • Instant results as you type

  • Maintains existing board filters

  • Works with filtered task views

Tips for Effective Searching

  1. Use specific keywords for better results

  2. Apply filters before searching to narrow scope

  3. Press Esc to quickly exit search mode

  4. Use Ctrl + F again to modify your search
