Moving Tasks Between Boards in Hypertasks

Hypertasks offers multiple ways to move tasks between boards. This guide covers all available methods and their best use cases.

Method 1: Keyboard Shortcut

  1. Select a task

  2. Press Ctrl+Shift+M (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+M (Mac)

  3. Type the name of the destination board

  4. Press Enter to confirm

Method 2: Using the Project Name Click

  1. Open the task detail view

  2. Click the project name in the right sidebar

  3. Select the destination board from the dropdown

  4. The task moves instantly to the selected board

Method 3: During Task Creation

  1. Press C to create a new task

  2. Click the project field in the creation dialog

  3. Select your desired board

  4. Complete task creation

What Gets Moved

When moving a task, these elements transfer:

  • Task title and description

  • Comments and attachments

  • Assignees and followers

  • Due dates and priorities

  • Tags and size estimates
