Sorting Direction

The Hypertasks sorting feature defaults to descending order (highest priority first, earliest due dates first, etc.). You can see the current direction indicator next to the "Descending" label.

Tips for Effective Sorting

  • Use priority sorting when you need to focus on urgent or important tasks

  • Switch to due date sorting for deadline-driven projects

  • Use size sorting during sprint planning or resource allocation

  • Try creation date sorting to identify tasks that have been in the backlog for too long

  • Combine sorting with filters (Shift + F) for more precise task management

Keyboard Navigation in HTC

  • Use arrow keys to navigate between sorting options

  • Press Enter to select a sorting option

  • Press Esc to close the HTC without applying changes
